Buddy Butler has over 20 years of experience in the travel/tourism industry. He has been involved in a variety of statewide tourism efforts including Class VI River Runners, Southern WV Convention and Visitors Bureau, Parkersburg Wood County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Marietta Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the WV Hospitality and Travel Association. Buddy served on the WV Tourism Commission from 1999 to 2002; was the chairman of the WV Tourism Commission Grants Committee responsible for over $30 million in statewide tourism grants; and served on the Marketing Advisory Committee for the WV Division of Tourism.
Buddy’s ability and desire to drive results for tourism is just one of the many reasons why he was named “Distinguished West Virginian” by Governor Bob Wise for his work in the travel and tourism industry in 2002.
